The Facebook Business Page is one of Facebook's features used to promote small businesses online.

It is connected to your personal page, but unlike an ordinary profile, the Business Page provides users with important business features – analytics, advertising and post scheduling.

How to Create a Facebook Business Page

  1. Log into your Facebook profile.
  2. Click the "Home" button next to your name.
  3. Click on the "Pages" tab in the "Explore" section on the left-hand side.
  4. Click "Create Page".
  5. Choose a page type for your new business page.

Next, Facebook will present you with two options to choose from – "Business or Brand" or "Community or Public figure". Our option is the first one: "Business or Brand".

After that, Facebook will ask you to describe your business in a few words so it can suggest which category your business belongs to.

Finally, Facebook will ask you to upload your profile picture and add a cover photo, but this is optional.

  • Connecting Facebook to Instagram.
  • Using the Messenger bot to communicate with clients.
  • Promoting the business via WhatsApp.

  • Working with Facebook IQ Insights.

Facebook Business Page Cost

Creating and managing a Business Page is free. But if you want to make and create Facebook ads, you will need to pay additional costs. There are a few main factors that influence the price of your ads:

  • The purpose of the advertisement.
  • Bidding type and amount.
  • Audience.
  • Ranking quality of advertisement.
  • Your industry.
After setting all of the factors up, Facebook will ask you to choose a plan. You will need to set the duration of your advertisement and your daily budget. After that, Facebook will show the estimated amount of clicks per day (if your goal is to gain clicks) and the total price. The daily budget can even start from one cent.

How to Promote Your Facebook Page

  • Reflect your idea in the title and design.
  • Intrigue the client, don't push them away.
  • Use keywords in the page title.
  • Use reliable information in the page description.
  • Fill your page with interesting and informative posts.
  • Interact with the audience.

Reflect Your Idea in the Title and Design

A business page should contain the main idea and be properly designed so that the visitor who arrives at it can easily navigate it and make the right choice. Don't forget that your main task is to gather your target audience.

Intrigue the Client, Don't Push Them Away

The idea should be catchy, "the best room design projects" instead of just "repair". If a brand page is being created, the page should reflect the name of this brand, but the content should still be informative and interesting.

Use Keywords in the Page Title

In the title of your business page, use the keywords which you would like to include. In general, it is very similar to SEO, the header should be catchy and at the same time contain keywords.

Use Reliable Information in the Page Description

Add the necessary links and contact information, so that users can go to your site or contact you in some way or other if they are interested.

Fill Your Page with Interesting and Informative Posts

You need to post interesting and informative information on the topic regularly, and not just talk about something that would be interesting for you as a business owner, but something that would be interesting for your customers too. For example, you can share useful tips or training materials with consumers.

Interact with the Audience

For example, add a survey once a week or post a video. Arrange a contest or a promotion. This will create an atmosphere of engagement (users will like, review and repost your posts).

Facebook Locations

For those who have multiple business locations, controlling each of them is important. The Facebook Location Page is a tool that helps business owners to manage all of their business locations.

How to Set Up Facebook Locations

  1. Create a Business Manager Account.
  2. Go to "Settings", click "Business Settings".
  3. Click "Pages" and then tap the "Add a Page" button.
  4. In a pop-up, insert your Facebook Page name or link.
  5. Close the pop-up.
  6. Click "Get Started".
  7. Remove Address.
  8. Click "Add Locations".
  9. Choose how you'll add locations and get started.

How a Facebook Business Page and a Facebook Location Page Differ?

A Facebook Business Page and a Facebook Location Page have a parent-child relationship. You may have one main business page and several sub-pages, for each different location of your business. The advantage for you is that you can create content for a specific local audience. The benefit for customers is that it's easier to search for services near them.

Facebook Local

Facebook itself has a separate application that has a key factor for local business owners — it's Local.
